About Me

I am Edith Baker, founder of Edith's Jewellery.
My journey did not begin with jewellery, but with a feeling – the desire for inner peace, authenticity and a new beginning.

Even as a child, I felt drawn to the moon – its gentle glow, its quiet strength. In my grandparents' gardens, I collected small stones that calmed me when the world became too noisy. This deep connection to nature, to silence and sensitivity, has stayed with me to this day.

After years in a seemingly "safe" life that appeared perfect on the outside but was empty on the inside, I received a special gift at the age of 33: a shimmering moonstone. It felt like a sign. A symbol of new beginnings, intuition, and healing. And that's exactly what began to grow within me quietly, but powerfully.

At 38, I started designing jewellery – first for myself, then for friends. It became my way back to myself. Today, at 70, I create each piece by hand in my studio in Birmingham: with peace, dedication, and genuine materials.

Moonstone is at the heart of my work.
It reminds us that our light is there even in dark times – we just need to learn to see it again.
